About the Conference

Student Center for the Public TrustIn this intensive two-day training event, participants increase their knowledge and exposure to ethical leadership and take their experiences back home to apply on campus and in future endeavors. Students are provided with exposure and training in an interactive environment to help build their ethical foundations and guiding principles. Students also have networking opportunities with nearly 300 professionals attending one of the NASBA Regional Meetings.

In addition, attendees learn more about the Center for the Public Trust, and receive training on how to establish new StudentCPT chapters, and participate in exercises to enhance operations of current chapters.

Conference attendees, or “student leaders,” are a combination of existing StudentCPT chapter officers and students representing campuses with chapters in development or chapter establishment interest. The CPT staff works with chapter advisors and faculty to select two students from each campus to attend. Student attendance is 100% subsidized through sponsorship, including travel, lodging and meals. To read more about the 2014 conference, please click on the brochure above.

The Student Leadership Conference is held annually alongside one of NASBA’s Regional Meetings, each summer. The 2015 Conference was held June 24-25 in Baltimore, MD alongside NASBA Eastern Regional Meeting.

Students traveled to Baltimore on June 23 and began the event with a casual group dinner on Tuesday night. The Conference started at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, and it concluded at noon on Thursday the 25th.
