Meet Your Speaker – Dr. Mariah Yates, Ph.D., MBA
Dr. Mariah Yates is an Assistant Professor in Management at the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University. She researches and teaches in the areas of ethics, corporate social responsibility, and organizational behavior and has presented her research at several academic conferences, including, the Academy of Management annual meeting, the MBAA International conference, the Corporate Responsibility Research Conference, and the Small Business Institute conference. She and her coauthors have won two best paper awards for their work in corporate social responsibility research. Dr. Yates’ research has been published in outlets such as Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Small Business Management, and Global Journal of Management and Marketing. Dr. Yates has been awarded competitive research grants within the Gordon Ford College of Business. During her PhD program, Dr. Yates was recognized multiple times for her teaching excellence through the Dean’s List of Teaching Excellence and she was selected as the Management Department nominee for the Excellence in Teaching Award for Graduate Students at the Carl Lindner College of Business. This past year, she was nominated twice by students for college and university level teaching awards. Dr. Yates has a professional background in managing her family’s small business.
