CPT Launches New StudentCPT Chapter at Mississippi State

Mississippi State StudentCPT Chapter Kickoff

The StudentCPT is proud to welcome Mississippi State University to the StudentCPT family. Mississippi State University is located in Starkville, MS and represents the first StudentCPT chapter in Mississippi.

Two student leaders from the Mississippi State University attended the 2017 StudentCPT Leadership Conference, and that experience helped prepare them to lead their new chapter. Several new students also expressed interest in participating in the chapter after the meeting. These students will work alongside Chapter Advisor, Cecelia Cook, to help promote ethical decision-making and ethical leadership on campus.

NASBA CPT Operations Director, Ryan Hirsch, served as the keynote speaker for this event and helped students understand why good intentions are not always enough to avoid becoming involved in ethical misconduct. Hirsch provided students will case examples of ethical dilemmas, challenged students to share how they would respond, then discussed the pros and cons of each response.

The CPT is grateful for the support of Jim Burkes, Cynthia Cooper, Angela Pannell and the Wesley A. Caldwell Foundation for all the support they provided in helping with the establishment of this chapter.
